You can book your newborn session with me any time between your 12-week and 20-week scans. My diary does get full quite quickly and I only book in a certain amount of newborn sessions per month so to avoid disappointment I'd say book your session in with a deposit as soon as you can (this guarantees your session space once baby arrives). I hate to turn people away.

There's no guarantee, but due to babies sometimes arriving a bit later or earlier than planned I may have a session space available last minute here and there, so if your baby has been born already send me a message and I'll see if I have any space whatsoever.

My full newborn sessions take between 2-4 hours (plenty of time to allow for soothing, changing, feeding etc). My studio is comfortable, private, and nice and toasty! It is best to dress in layers as the room is perfect for baby, but can get a bit warm for us adults sometimes. Sit back, relax, enjoy the sounds of mediation and the smells of my lavender air diffuser. There are plenty of snacks, colouring books and pencils, bottles of water, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate to help yourself to. Put your feet up and fall asleep if you like (you won't be the first).

If breastfeeding, it is best to avoid spicy/acidic/gassy food for 24 hours before the session. Also, try to keep baby awake for as long as possible before the session and ready for a big feed just before you leave the house or as your arrive at the studio. Please dress baby in something easy to remove and keep their nappy as loose as possible to avoid marks on their skin.

Apart from snacks and your regular changing bag, you do not need to bring anything else! I will provide all of the props, wraps, outfits, hats, and headbands. I have lots of colours and styles to choose from which you can view and choose from my studio walls. If you'd like to include any personal items, bring them along and I'll try to incorporate them into the session.

You are more than welcome to take a few behind the scenes shots (as I love to see and post those on my social media too!), but make sure those BTS photos do not impede on the shots I am being paid to take for you.

Yes, absolutely. I love to include parents and siblings in my sessions, as they can provide a great variety of images for your final gallery. Please let me know beforehand whether you'd like to incorporate others into your newborn session.

It is always best to stick to neutral colours without any big patterns, prints or logos. When we are discussing your session I can point you in the direction of my Pinterest which has plenty of inspiration for your family outfits.

After your session I will choose the best 20-25 images with some basic editing to the colours and background etc, but no full skin retouching yet. Around 1-2 weeks after your session I will upload your proof images to an online gallery for you to look through and choose which 5 or 10 you'd like to purchase, or if you'd like to purchase the full gallery.

Once you have returned to the studio to choose your favourite images, your final edits should take around 1-2 weeks. During this time I will be retouching your hair, skin and backgrounds by hand myself to make sure everything is perfect for your final images. I will also order your prints, which take up to 2 working days, and your wall art which takes up to 10 working days to be delivered.
